  11. I have a problem I hope someone can help me with
  12. I removed a DSI connection series 14.4 and installed a USR 28.8 VI
  13. using the same setting ( com 3 and irq 5 ) I also edited the dsi 
  14. statements out of system.ini  win.ini autoexec and config
  15.  
  16. Now when i enter wfw i get a ring 0 16550 uart driver message which says 
  17. there is no board installed and states that i will have problems in dos 
  18. and other related programs  
  19.  
  20. windows and the modem works ok but if i shell to dos the system locks and 
  21. puts garbage on the screen 
  22.  
  23. the same thing happens when I exit windows
  24.  
  25. so far i've tried the following
  26.  
  27. reloaded windows, tried delrina's wfxcom driver, tried the cybercom 
  28. driver, tried removing the usr and reinstalling the dsi   calling usr ( no 
  29. help no answer )

  31. MSd says the uart is there and the modem works fine in windows at between 
  32. 21000 and 24000 bps with win com pro 
  33.  
  34. If any one can help I might actually have some hair left when this is over
